Glenn R. Brown passed away on May 16, 2021; he was 90. Dr. Brown served as Cleveland Section Chair in 1976. He had a distinguished career at SOHIO that lasted over 30 years, rising to the position of Senior Vice President, Technology and Planning. His responsibilities included Research and Development, Engineering, Patent and Licensing, Strategic Planning, Alternate Energy and Health, and Safety and Environment. He also spent time as a member of SOHIO’s Board of Directors. After retiring from SOHIO, Dr. Brown became a founding Dean of the combined Case Institute of Technology and Western Reserve College (now Case Western Reserve University), then became Vice Provost for Corporate Research and Technology Transfer. After a second retirement, he became the Science and Technology Advisor to Ohio governors George Voinovich and Bob Taft.
