ACS elections to be held in October
Election of National Officers for the American Chemical Society and a ratification of a proposed constitutional amendment will be held in October. ACS election balloting will be conducted online. Ballots will be distributed Sept. 30–Oct. 2 with a voting deadline of Oct. 25.
Candidates for President include H.N. Cheng, a research chemist at the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Louisiana, and Carol A. Duane, a mentor with D&D Consultants of Mentor in Ohio. Candidate statements were published in C&ENews and can be found here.
Candidates for director of District II are Christina C. Bodurow, IQVIA vice president of Global Regulatory Affairs; Dawn Mason, external innovation manager with Eastman Chemical; and Ellene Tratras Contis, professor of chemistry at Eastern Michigan University. Their statements are also found here.
All voting members of ACS may receive ballots enabling them to vote for president-elect and a constitutional amendment upon request. The Cleveland Local Section is in District II and eligible members may receive ballots to vote for director.
